- When you get the Brother PED-Basic software for Downloading it will have a sheet of paper with it that reads, 'Important Read Before Use' For WINDOWS 2000/XP/VISTA/7 users. Which is 4 simple steps for set up with the CD-ROM. After that you plug the card writer (PEDBasic) into your USB and your ready to go.
- PED Basic allows you to apply simple editing operations to embroidery data (.PESand.PEN files) created with our embroidery design software and to write the designs to original cards. PES and PEN files can also be purchased or obtained from the internet.
Brother Ped Basic Software Updates
For downloading embroidery designs from the Internet to use with your Brother home embroidery machine, the Brother PED-Basic comes with USB card writer, blank memory card and software compatible with Windows 98 or later.
For Windows® 8/ 8.1 users:
- Position the mouse pointer in the Start screen to display the down arrow in the lower-left corner of the screen, and click it.
⇒ The list of applications appears. - Right-click PE-DESIGN 10 (Layout & Editing), which appears under the title PE-DESIGN 10 (Trial Version).
⇒ The taskbar appears at the bottom of the screen. - Click Uninstall in the taskbar to run the application as an administrator.
⇒ The Programs and Features window appears. - In the Programs and Features window, select PE-DESIGN 10 (Trial Version) and click Uninstall.
⇒ A dialog box appears. - Click Remove to uninstall the application.
⇒ The following message appears shortly after uninstallation begins. - Click Yes.
⇒ If the software has been successfully uninstalled, a dialog box appears. - Click Finish.
